Principles of IL-6-type cytokine signaling

炎症反応に伴って放出されたIL-6は細胞表面のIL-6レセプターαとgp130に結合する。IL-6リガンドとレセプターとの相互作用の結果、活性化されたリン酸化酵素JAKによって、シグナル伝達因子STAT（特にSTAT3）のチロシン残基がリン酸化される。この結果STATは核内に移行し、目的遺伝子の転写を調節する。
